One of my favorite sights is a patch of cholla cactus. It's difficult to photograph them though.

Cholla field again. Hard to find just the right spot and lineup of cactus.

I keep trying to get a good shot of a pack rat nest. They are all over, and easy to spot. They put cactus bits all around the nest, and have a couple of trails leading through them.

Another angle of a pack rat nest. I'm trying to show the size of the nest (about four feet across) and the bits of cactus strewn around to keep predators away.

The sun came out, so another attempt at a cholla field.
